The strongest rivalry in boxing history is believed to be the one between boxers from Puerto Rico and Mexico. In world title matches, Puerto Rico has the upper hand against Mexico.[citation needed]
There have been 84 wins for Puerto Rico, and 73 wins for Mexico since the blossoming of their rivalry in 1934.
