Attempt to Kill is a 1961 British second feature ('B')[2] film directed by Royston Morley and starring Derek Farr and Tony Wright.[3] The screenplay was by Richard Harris, based on the 1929 Edgar Wallace novel The Lone House Mystery.[4] It is part of the series of Edgar Wallace Mysteries films made at Merton Park Studios from 1960 to 1965.[1]
Plot
[edit]A businessman fires one of his employees, then someone tries to murder him. The fired man becomes the prime suspect.

[edit]The Monthly Film Bulletin wrote: "Derek Farr's resourceful performance as the Inspector, and the Thames setting, are the only assets in this unoriginal Edgar Wallace thriller."[5]
