The University of Johannesburg Netball team, commonly known as UJ Netball, is the netball club representing the University of Johannesburg based in Auckland Park, Gauteng. They compete in Varsity Netball.
They were runners-up in the 2023 edition of Varsity Netball.
History
[edit]In 2019 they announced Protea captain Bongi Msomi as their head coach.[1]
In 2023 they won the Gauteng Netball Super League using their reserve team as the main team was playing in the 2023 Varsity Netball competition.[2] In the Varsity Netball competition they were finalist for the first time in 2023.[3][4] They lost the final to Tuks Netball 63-61.[5]
