Aichi Institute of Technology (愛知工業大学, Aichi kōgyō daigaku) is a private university at Toyota, Aichi, Japan. The predecessor of the school was founded in 1912, and it was chartered as a university in 1959.[1] It was established with the aim of providing high-quality education in engineering and technology fields. The institute is known for its strong emphasis on practical skills development and industry collaboration.[2]
Campuses
[edit]AIT's main campus is located in the city of Toyota, Aichi Prefecture, which is known as a major centre of the automotive industry in Japan.[3] The Motoyama campus and the Jiyugaoka campus in Nagoya are located in an urban setting and provide a conducive environment for learning and research. While the Motoyama campus is mainly dedicated to the graduate school, the Jiyugaoka campus is for undergraduate business administration students. The Institute has modern facilities, including well-equipped classrooms, laboratories and research centres such as the Seismic Resistance Experiment Center (SEIREX) and the Disaster Prevention Research Center (DPREC), and a library.[4]
