Johan de Kleer is a computer scientist working as a Research Fellow at Xerox PARC.[1]
Education
[edit]De Kleer earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science and mathematics from University of British Columbia, and Master of Science in computer science and electrical engineering and PhD in artificial intelligence from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.[2]
Career
[edit]De Kleer is known for his work on qualitative reasoning, model-based diagnosis, design and truth maintenance systems. He won the Computers and Thought award from IJCAI in 1987 for his work in qualitative reasoning.[3] He is a fellow of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) and the Association for Computing Machinery.[4][5]
