History

[edit]

Endless LLP was established in 2005 by Garry Wilson and Darren Forshaw.  Since its inception, the firm has raised £1.5bn of capital, invested into more than 100 businesses.  The firm claims their investments have saved over 40,000 jobs that otherwise would have been lost.

Endless raised its first institutional fund in 2008 and this saw investments in companies like Crown Paints and Neville Johnson.  It also included an investment in The Works which was acquired out of administration in 2008 and then was sold via an IPO in 2018.

Endless’ second fund was raised in 2011. Following a similar strategy to its first fund and saw investments in Karro Foods(a carve out from Vion Foods) and Bathstore (a carve out from Wolseley plc).

Endless largest fund raise was £525m in 2014. This fund saw it invest in BSW Timber and Hovis Foods and Menzies Distribution.

Endless are currently investing its next institutional fund which was raised in 2021.  It made its largest investment to date of £105m in ASCO in the Summer of 2023.

In 2014 it established Enact a sister business to its main fund. Enact invests is smaller SMES with investments typically up to £10m.

Approach

[edit]

Endless LLP’s approach focuses on revitalizing businesses in complex situations. The firm operates two funds: the Endless Fund, targeting businesses with revenues between £50m and £1bn, and the Enact Fund, for businesses with revenues between £10m and £50m.

Endless LLP provides a number of investment solutions, namely buyouts, carve-outs, turnarounds, and acquisitions of family-owned businesses where there is no obvious succession plan. The firm’s investments are directed across a small number of sectors where Endless believes they are best placed to add maximum value: Food & Beverage, Industrials, Business Services & Logistics and Consumer.
