Carlos Luis Narváez (born November 26, 1998) is a Venezuelan professional baseball catcher for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2024.

Career

[edit]

Narváez signed with the New York Yankees as an international free agent in July 2015.[1]

On November 6, 2023, the Yankees added Narváez to their 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 draft.[2] He was optioned to the Triple–A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders to begin the 2024 season.[3]

On April 29, 2024, the Yankees promoted Narváez to the major leagues for the first time.[4] However, he did not make an appearance before being sent down to Triple–A on May 2, becoming a phantom ballplayer.[5] Narvaez was promoted again on July 13, after Jose Trevino suffered an injury.[6] He made his major league debut on July 20, recording his first MLB hit.[7]
