Christi Patton Luks is an American chemical engineer who is the incoming president-elect of the American Society for Engineering Education.[1] She is a teaching professor and associate chair of Missouri University of Science and Technology's department of chemical and biochemical engineering.[1] Dr. Luks worked at the University of Tulsa for over twenty years.[1] She was elected a fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers in 2020 and president of Omega Chi Epsilon.[2]
Dr. Luks received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University. She completed a master's degree in applied mathematics and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Tulsa.[1] Her 1993 dissertation was titled, Solute Separabilities in Solvent Gas-Rich Liquid-Liquid-Vapor Systems Topographical and Molecular Consideration.[3] Kraemer D. Luks was her doctoral advisor.[3]
