The 2024 season will be the Las Vegas Raiders' upcoming 55th season in the National Football League (NFL), their 65th overall, their fifth in Las Vegas and their first full season under head coachAntonio Pierce and their first with general managerTom Telesco.[1] They will attempt to improve on their 8–9 record from last year, make the playoffs after a two-year absence, and end their 21-year AFC West title drought. For the first time since 2017 when they were based in Oakland, the Raiders will not face the Colts in the regular season.
On October 31, 2023, following a Week 8 loss to the Detroit Lions, the Raiders fired Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler.[2] The Raiders named linebackers coach Antonio Pierce interim head coach,[3] and assistant general manager Champ Kelly interim general manager.[4] Following the season, the team named Antonio Pierce the full-time head coach after the team finished the season with a record of 5–4 under Pierce.[5] On January 23, 2024, Tom Telesco was hired as the general manager of the Raiders.[6] In February 2024, Pierce named former Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy to the same position with the Raiders.[7]
The Raiders' preseason opponents and preliminary schedule were announced on May 15, in conjunction with the release of the regular season schedule.[18] Final schedule was released on May 17.[19]
