[edit]The Cypriot broadcaster, CyBC, held a national final to select the Cypriot entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1992. The contest was held at 21:00 EET on 13 March at the International Conference Centre in Nicosia, hosted by Eirini Charalambidou.[1] Eight songs competed in the national final, which were chosen out of 65 submissions by a 16-member jury on 16 February 1992.[2] The winner was decided by a 24-member jury who each gave out 10 points to their favourite song, 8 to their second favourite, and 6 through to 1 points for their third to eighth placing songs.[3][4]
The winner was Evridiki with the song "Teriazoume", composed by George Theofanous and Leonidas Malenis.
