The Central District of Mashhad County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان مشهد) is in Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Mashhad.[3]
Demographics

[edit]At the time of the 2006 National Census, the district's population was 2,679,938 in 704,045 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 2,991,644 people in 867,205 households.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 3,280,368 inhabitants in 994,022 households.[2]
