Everything Or Nothing at All Tour[1] is a concert tour by American rock band Foo Fighters, in support of But Here We Are, their eleventh studio album. It began on May 1, 2024, in Dallas, TX.[2]
Background
[edit]In June 2023, Foo Fighters announced that they would be embarking on a five-city stadium tour in the United Kingdom the following June, with an extra date in Manchester later added to the tour.[1][3]
In October 2023, the tour was extended, with a 10-city North American leg in summer 2024.[4][5] In November 2023, it was announced that the band was to headline the Shaky Knees Festival on May 5, 2024 in Atlanta.[6][7] In December 2023, they added five more dates in May at the start of the tour, whcih now began on May 1 in Dallas.[8][9] This first leg was extended with a headline set at New Orleans Jazz Fest on May 3, 2024 announced in January 2024.[10][11]
Controversies
[edit]Frontman Dave Grohl was the subject of social media outcry after he made a joke on-stage about pop star Taylor Swift's Eras Tour on 22 June at the London Stadium. Videos of Grohl circulated online, in which he said, "I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift. So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour.’ We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few f***ing errors as well. Just a couple. That’s because we actually play live. What?! Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right f***ing place."[12] This led to fans of Swift expressing anger at Grohl, claiming he insinuated that Swift does not sing or perform live.[13] Swift allegedly responded to Grohl's comments at her show at London's Wembley Stadium on 23 June, remarking that, "every one of my band members, every single one of our crew, my band — who’s gonna be playing live for you for three and a half hours tonight — they deserve this so much."[13][14]
