Alavian (Persian: علويان)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Sarajuy-ye Gharbi Rural District of the Central District of Maragheh County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 2,238 in 579 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 2,529 people in 695 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 2,544 people in 723 households.[2]
