Levi David Jordan (born September 24, 1995) is an American professional baseball infielder in the Cincinnati Reds organization. He made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut in 2024.

Career

[edit]

Jordan graduated from Puyallup High School in Puyallup, Washington, and he played for the school's baseball team. In 2014, his senior year, The News Tribune named him their male high school senior athlete of the year.[1] Jordan attended the University of Washington and played college baseball for the Washington Huskies. The Chicago Cubs selected him in the 29th round of the 2018 MLB draft.[2]

After the 2023 season, the Cincinnati Reds selected Jordan in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 draft.[3] The Reds assigned him to the Louisville Bats of the Triple-A International League at the beginning of the 2024 season.[4] On June 24, 2024, Jordan was selected to the 40-man roster and promoted to the major leagues for the first time. He made his MLB debut the same day.[5] In 7 games for Cincinnati, he went 1–for–10 (.100) with one RBI. On July 5, Jordan was designated for assignment by the Reds.[6] He cleared waivers and was sent outright to Louisville on July 8.[7]
