State for the People (Georgian: სახელმწიფო ხალხისთვის, romanized: sakhelmts'ipo khalkhistvis) is a political party founded by Georgian operatic bass Paata Burchuladze in 2016. After Paata Burchuladze left Georgia, Nika Machutadze became chairman.
State for the People Coalition
[edit]The State for the People Coalition was created on 18 August 2016. It took part in 2016 parliamentary elections, coming sixth with 3.45 percent of the vote.

Former Members
[edit]Strength is in Unity coalition
[edit]In 2018, prior to the presidential election, State for the People co-founded the Strength is in Unity, a coalition of Georgian opposition parties led by United National Movement of Mikheil Saakashvili. In 2023, the party halted its cooperation with the coalition after endorsing the ruling party's preferred candidates to Georgia's High Council of Justice.[2]
