Guan Mucun (Chinese: 关牧村; born 1953) is a Chinese mezzo-soprano singer born in Xinxiang, Henan province.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Guan grew up in Tianjin and worked in animal husbandry until 1977 when she was admitted to Tianjin Song and Dance Troupe as an actress.
In 1987 she graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music and in 1991 earned her master's degree from Nankai University. She studied under Shi Guangnan, and Li Weijie.
Career
[edit]Guan developed her own musical style by blending Western with traditional Chinese melodies.
