Apparent targets of "Unabomber" Ted Kaczynski; not listed are Kaczynski's collateral victims, viz.: Patrick C. Fischer's secretary and James V. McConnell's assistant Niklaus Suino. In several bombings, the target was unclear: the bomb which reached Fischer's office was intended to be delivered (return-to-sender) to LeRoy Wood Bearnson, but was delivered to Fischer in spite of insufficient postage. David Gelernter may have been bombed to victimize his brother, Yale genetics researcher Joel Gelernter. The bomb received by Gilbert Murray, president of the California Forestry Association, was addressed to its previous president, Bill Dennison. In cases of such ambiguity, both targets are listed. Kaczynski's papers, currently held by the federal government, contain Kaczynski's own comments on his precise targets.
