Luis Ceze is a computer scientist and a professor of computer science at the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering[2] known for his work on Apache TVM[3] and bioinspired systems for data storage.[4][5][6] In 2019, Luis founded OctoML,[7][8] a startup aimed at optimizing machine learning deployments. He is a venture partner at Madrona Venture Group.[1] In 2022, he was named an ACM Fellow.[9]
Career
[edit]Ceze completed his B. Eng. (2000) and M. Eng. (2001) from the University of São Paulo.[10] After this, he pursued a doctoral degree in computer science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, advised by Josep Torrellas.[11] He received his PhD in 2007 with a thesis titled Bulk Operation and Data Coloring for Multiprocessor Programmability.[12]
