Видконы Béarn : ( Basque : Bearno , Gascon . Bearn или Biarn ) были правителями вискоунти Беарн , расположенной в горах Пиренеев и на равнине у их ног на юго -западе Франции Наряду с тремя баскскими провинциями Soule , Lower Navarre и Labourd , а также небольшими частями Gascony , он образует текущую департамент Pyrénées -Atlantiques (64).
Béarn граничит с баскской провинциями Soule и нижней частью Наварры на западе, Гасконом ( Landes и Armagnac ) на севере, Бигорре на востоке и Испанией ( Арагоном ) на юге.

In 1512 Ferdinand II of Aragon conquered the better part of the kingdom of Navarre, leaving the kingdom with only the small section it held north of the Pyrenees.
