Two weeks later, USMA won its first Arab Club Champions Cup title after defeating Kuwait's Al-Arabi club 3–2 in aggregate in the 2012–13 UAFA Club Cup final.[8] In the Super Cup USM Alger faced 2012–13 Ligue 1 champions ES Sétif and won the title for the first time.[9] On May 26, 2019, And after the victory outside the home against CS Constantine 3–1 achieved the eighth Ligue 1 title, one point behind JS Kabylie.[10]
On June 3, 2023, USM Alger under the leadership of Abdelhak Benchikha, became the first Algerian winners of the CAF Confederation Cup and the first international title in its history, despite losing 1–0 at home against Young Africans in the second leg of the final.[11][12] On 16 July 2023, Benchikha announced that he would remain in the club despite the offers he had received from clubs outside the country.[13] In the first match of the season in the CAF Super Cup, USM Alger won the title after winning against Al Ahly to win its second continental title.[14]
