Выборы Совета Ислингтона 1982 года состоялись 6 мая 1982 года, чтобы избрать членов городского совета Ислингтон Лондон в Лондоне , Англия. Весь совет был готов на выборах, и лейбористская партия восстановила общий контроль над Советом социал -демократической партии . [ 1 ]

В марте 1981 года был основан SDP. В мае 1981 года Дональд Худлесс стал новым лидером лейбористов и лидером совета. В сентябре 1981 года, после отставки советника лейбористов, SDP получил место в совете в приходе Хиллартон. В декабре 1981 года более половины трудовой группы в Совете подали в отставку трудового кнута и присоединилась к SDP. Это дало SDP большинство мест, и их лидер, Джим Эванс, стал новым лидером совета. В разделе SDP появилось появление отдельной группы социал -демократов, которая включала четырех заседающих советников SDP.
